About the Rambam Foundation

Our Story

The Rambam Foundation was established at the end of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as Keren Or for a Child ('The Ray ofLight for Child'). Our primary goal was to support children with cancer since most of the volunteers have been involved in medical activities. Volunteers are the core of the Foundation. It was created with their help and support.

Еventually, various new social challenges and requests made us review the list of our goals. We expanded the focus and became Rambam - the Foundation (a registered non-profit organization) to assist vulnerable groups of the population.

Since the beginning of 2023, we have set goals to provide assistance with every social and medical request. We work on a volunteer basis, and want to keep this principle so that every shekel could reaches the families in need and helps them to overcome difficult periods.

Our Goals

We want to fill in all possible gaps currently not provided by the State.

Financing of treatment not included in Health Basket approved by the Ministry of Health
Financing of medicines not included in Health Basket approved by the Ministry of Health
Providing people in need with food packages
Transportation to medical facilities
Social assistance to single-parent or low-income families
Assistance to new immigrants
Support for the elderly people
Assistance in the purchase of medical and auxiliary equipment for hospitals
Arranging of birthday parties and different activities for children with cancer
